Field Reference Guides

Field Reference Guides replace the traditional training manual and are available wherever you and your customers are, through the device of your choice: laptop, desktop, tablet, or smartphone. Field Reference Guides provide up-to-the-minute technical reference information in a searchable, interactive, mobile-friendly format. Learn how to access Field Reference Guides.

How to access Field Reference Guides

AccessFRG

First, get access on the desktop

Please note:

  • Before you can gain access, you must have an active Navigator account.

  • If you do not have a Navigator account, contact your site administrator at your distributor location.

  • It may take up to two business days for new access to the Field Reference Guides.

  • Ducted Systems Academy does not administer Navigator. However, if you have any problems with the steps below, please contact training@ductedsystems.academy

 

In a desktop browser (like Chrome), go to: johnsoncontrols.read.inkling.com

Step 1 of 5:
Immediately upon using the link the first time, select Forgot password.

Step 2 of 5:
Enter your username, which is your email address. Then select Next.
Note: this is your "regular" email address, not the one with ".hn"
on the end - that is used only for Navigator.

Step 3 of 5:
Check your email for a password reset link. Select the link in your email.

Step 4 of 5:
Enter your new password twice, then select Set password.

Step 5 of 5:
Use your email for your username, and the password that you created.
The page should remember your credentials next time.

Next, get access in the mobile app

​

On a tablet or smartphone, you should use the mobile app instead of a browser. The app supports downloading of guides (or a portion of a guide) onto your device.

​

Please note:

  • If you've used the mobile app before, please uninstall then reinstall. Then log in with the new credentials you used for the desktop.

 

Go to the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Android).

 

 

 

Download and open the Inkling app.

Enter the company code johnsoncontrols (all lower case, no spaces).

Login credentials are the same, whether using a browser or the app. Enter your username (email) and password.
 

Company code and credentials are required only the first time you use the app.
